Psalm 23 (in my own words)

Writing through the psalms can be a helpful meditative practice. Here's one I did in late July.

My good protector is always near. I will never be stranded.

I am satisfied with Him; I lie down and rest. His living water has refreshed me.

He knits all my disparate parts into wholeness.

His provision is so abundant that it turns enemies into friends.

Everyone is invited at my table. We laugh and cry together over a delicious meal.

Even though I have to walk through this dark world and contend with sin and death,

I am strangely unafraid.

Whatever happens to me, I'll have Him by my side.

He's both powerful and gentle:

the good protector.

I certainly know He's secured my future. He won't let my mistakes ruin His plan.

He is my inheritance forever.
